design crazy

Okay... so I may be going design crazy over here. Had an epiphany laying in bed last night and decided I want to do a seasonal header. The one in the post below (which was live for all of 12 hours), will likely be the "summer" header. With about a month left of what I'll call "autumn" (even though it doesn't look like it around these parts), I decided to get some falling leaves action going on up there.

new design + about me

Hi lovelies!

Wanted to share with you my blog redesign! I've been dreaming of a new design for months now but was scared to stray from my norm. But today I did it!

in the kitchen + in the sky {instagram'd}

Yikes! 3 whole weeks since my last post. 

You know you've neglected your blog when your mom says, 

"I don't think I know how to use your blog. It's just showing the same pictures called Instagram or something every time I look at it. Can you help me?"

Umm... blogging fail. Sorry mom (and any loyal readers I didn't chase off in my absence)!

Well I'm back. I'm done being sick (again) and trying to get excited about Fall. It is still freaking hot here in Arizona (91-degrees today), so it's very hard to feign excitement over fall weather and hot drinks when I'm still ordering iced coffee in my tank and flip flops. 

All complaining aside, I had an awesome week! I spent a good amount of time in the kitchen whipping up some tasty dishes and also spent part of my Saturday up in the in sky... hang gliding!

{1} An amazing salad I made for dinner on Monday: romaine, apples, avocado, cucumber, feta cheese and lemon herb chicken.
{2} Had 3 super ripe bananas I was about to throw away, and decided to make my first ever banana bread instead!
{3} Oh, did I mention it was Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Banana bread?! And it was amazing...
{4} Post boot camp workout breakfast: iced coffee with pumpkin syrup, raspberries, and bread from #3.
{5} Taught a friend how to cook: roasted almond crusted salmon with pomegranate glaze + garlic green beans and mushrooms
{6} Candid moment captured by my brother of my parents: 27 years of marriage :-)
{7} Filled with anticipation to go hang gliding (birthday present from my parents and brother)!
{8} Strapped in and ready to go...
{9} Wright brothers style. So. Much. Fun.

What an amazing girls weekend in Coronado we had! I'm linking up with a {little} dash of ash for her Instagram link party to tell you all about it via Instagram.

{8} Starbucks pit stop after cruising... Krystal flew down from Washington for this trip!
{9} Love this girl with all my heart! Laura, you mean so much to me...
{10} Legit pizza for lunch on Saturday
{11} Saturday night bon fire on the beach and Nutella s'mores. They're as amazing as they sound!
